RECITALPALOOZA 2024
Recitalpalooza 2024, our festival-style, open-air performance event will be held the weekend of June 7th-9th, 2024.
This year’s theme is “It’s Time to Move, Get Ready to Groove!” which will feature songs about transportation and movement. The shows will star our greatest movers and groovers, the SDD Dancers!

Important Dates for 2024 Recitalpalooza:
November 1st: Recitalpalooza Costume Fees Due
March 4th: Recitalpalooza Choreography Begins
Mid-April: Tentative Date for First Round of Recital Costume Distribution
April 15th-20th: Recitalpalooza Choreogrpahy Videos Uploaded to Resource Folder
April 22nd-28th: Pre-Order Period for Merchandise, Additional Wristband Waitlist Request, and Handicap Parking Requests
May 1st: Recitalpalooza Fee Due
May 31st: Final Day of Regular Season Classes
June 1st-6th: In-Studio Dress Rehearsal Days & Recitalpalooza Wristband Distribution
June 7th-9th: Show Days
2024 Benefit Show
Each year, our Be More Performance Ensemble (formerly the Intensive Training Program) puts on a show to support causes in our community. Last year’s Movement & Meaning Show -raised over $25,000 to support the establishment of The Future Is Female Fund at Girls Geared For Greatness.
Since 2017, our Intensive Training Program Dancers have raised over $100,000+ for area nonprofits.
This year, we are hosting the Be More Battle on 4/27/24 at Stewart Theatre at NC State University.
