Intensive Training Program
Why join our Intensive Training Program?
At Stage Door Dance Productions, our Intensive Training Program (ITP) is designed as a positive learning experience based on the principles of: (a) performance, (b) technique, (c) community, and (d) character. The program is flexible in design and is intended to contribute to the well-rounded nature of our students, which will further their artistic, academic, professional, and personal development.
Stage Door Dance Productions offers the Intensive Training Program for dancers ages 6 & up who want to experience dance and community involvement on a heightened level.
Stage Door Dance Productions’ students and alum have participated in the following events: A Christmas Carol at Theatre In the Park, Billy Elliot at North Carolina Theatre, the Matilda National Tour, Carolina Ballet's The Nutcracker, Theatre Raleigh Performances, The King and I on Broadway, A Bronx Tale on Broadway, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway, the Debbie Allen Summer Intensive, the Glorya Kaufman School of Dance at the University of Southern California, Dance Masters of America National Conventions, UNCSA, and the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in Washington, DC.
The students performances are fixtures in the local community. They've performed at Marbles Kids Museum, the Raleigh Christmas Parade, danceSpark, the VA Hospital, the Junior League of Raleigh's A Shopping Spree, Letterland, and Artsplosure.
In addition to performing, our students are focused on philanthropic service initiatives. In 2017, the students completed their Make A Splash! Service Initiative, which raised $7589 to fund a clean water well in Uganda via Global H2O. In 2018, the students produced A Concert For The Kids, which raised $6000 for the Me Fine Foundation. The 2019 Benefit Performance will be held on March 16th, 2019!
